PACE of
Mt. Orab
I was asked to be a PACE director in 2001. Prior to that, I had been an active PACE member for 3 years. I got involved because I was in need of an emotional outlet due to the court battles I had been going through for my 2 daughters for years. Fighting just to get court-ordered visitation was a true battle but finally was achieved and I eventually got shared parenting for both my daughters.
I've been in the Mount Orab area for over 30 years. I lost my parents at the age of 13 due to a car accident, which is why I believe teaching my children that doing things as a family is important at their age because as I got older I realized how much I had missed when I was younger. I live on a farm in the country and I think this is one of the best environments to raise children. I have written editorial letters to the local papers trying to drum up the PACE involvement in this area.
I enjoy spending time and going on vacation with my daughters, Brittianie, 19, and Whitney, 16. My next true battle is surviving a second new driver in the family!
I am proud of my daughters, and I am trying to get them to understand that it is important to do things as a family whenever possible.
I am a computer programmer with a side business of doing home inspections, which I hope to turn into a full-time occupation. I enjoy doing remodeling, going hiking and traveling whenever possible.
