To All:

To All:

We need to up date you on this effort.  There was a study done on divorces in
Champaign County that was independently financed that needs to be finalized. Unfortunately the person that was doing this has passed away and we have not been able to get the care taker of his records to release this report to us. This may be one of the most important studies done to date on the bias of the courts. That study covers divorces from 1990-2004 and covers a variety of statistics from temporary to permanent custody and child support.  From what I have seen of the stats, there is a nearly 100% bias against fathers.

There is an effort now to take the originals report further by including several other counties in Ohio. This will be no small task and will take some major backing to complete. I have spoken to Mike and he is willing to donate to this effort as am I personally. PACE has pledged support to get this off the ground. DADS is also going to join us in this effort. A PAYPAL link has been established to allow donations on line to this effort. That link can be found on by clicking on the join PACE link above. We are also going to attempt to get grant money to complete this. This will be a co-operative effort that will draw attention to the problems that many currently are facing.

There are some new court cases that will be filed in the near future that these reports will greatly benefit. There are additional issues involved regarding the bias of the courts and the delay in hearing motions before the court regarding child support recalculations.  We want to incorporate the report into the petitions but need to have it finalized in the next week. Information on these cases is on the Parents And Children for Equality website.

Why should you help?

The release of this new report will have a profound impact on the allegations of bias in the courts.  It will be hard to deny that it exist when the proof is in the hand.  In conjunction with other issues coming to the forefront, this will be another valuable asset.  But again, we need this report in the near future in order to incorporate it into future filings and to take to the legislature to establish a true equal custody law for all fit parents.  We are hoping that the incorporation of this report will be an additional incentive for the courts to accept our cases.

Just a few dollars from everyone on this list will help defray the cost and help all of us.  This is a time to step forward and be counted.  Don't delay, we needed this report yesterday and we will have it soon!

We ask that you hang in with us as we straighten this report problem out and move on to the next one which will be bigger and more comprehensive.
